So, my friend Garvan, who celebrated his birthday recently, commented that, while he likes to listen to my mixes in the gym, sometimes he has to switch off as they can be a bit too ‘full on’.

As I always welcome constructive criticism from listeners, I reflected on this for a while and decided not to  cut the brakes on his car and perhaps rise to the challenge of creating a more chilled beast.

It’s Mix Time! Creepy Treehouse

Mixing is therapy.

As I get stressed out about work and my studies, one of my ways to unwind is uncork a nice red and get to mixin’.

Shoreditch Trauma appears to be one of my most downloaded and popular mixes. It was a bit of a departure for me in that it consisted of lots of frenetic indie goodness rather than funky euphoric house. The gay party boys in London said it was too ‘heavy metal’ (LOL), but it seemed to take on a life of its own online.

So, here tentatively, is the follow up: Creepy Treehouse!

Pugilistic Tendencies

UPDATE! Mediafire seems to be on the blink. The link below won’t work. I’ve submitted a report. All working again. Yay!!Yes, another one…The 80s one was fun, even if the Joe Le Taxi bit caused much disgruntlement despite assurances from me to “wait a minute, wait a minute”. Sheesh, it’s SO difficult for an artiste these days! Anyway, normal service is resumed with the current crop of big room funky house floorfillaz and some golden mouldies for good measure. It’s Friday and the weekend’s just begun! Work is seasonally hectic and much of my spare time is now being demanded by my Open University course, so it’s vital for me to wind down with a nice glass of wine and a mix to make.The title comes from a secondary school Business Organisation teacher I had who had an amazing ability to come up with bizarre, yet literary, lines for students to write as punishment. My favourite was one dished out to two boys who were solving a eceonomics dispute with their fists. They had to write, 100 times, “I must confine my pugilistic tendencies to the ring”. Twenty years later, that’s still in my head.
