Gosh, awards season is well underway, isn’t it? Now, if you have done something wonderful for the GLBT community (whatever that is) in Ireland in the last year, you too could pretend to forget Angelina’s name at the inaugural GALAS!
From their site:
The Gay and Lesbian Awards (GALAS) have been set up by the National Lesbian and Gay Federation to honour lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people and organisations for their contributions to Irish society, both north and south of the border.
The awards are also to honour politicians, employers and other people who are committed to advancing equality and social acceptance for LGBT Irish people in Ireland. In this, the inaugural year of the GALAS, there will be 12 awards given to people and organisations from Southern and Northern Ireland. We are inviting you to nominate people and organisations who you feel should be awarded.
The nominations procedure is simple. All you have to do is click on each category and then tell us who you would like to nominate and why. You can nominate as often as you like, in as many of the categories as you like.
There you have it. Scarily, I can’t actually think of people to nominate for many of these categories, but I have made a few entries for a fellow blogger and an organisation I used to do some stuff for. Perhaps I’m becoming to London to think of any politician or employer in Ireland that deserves a vote, but if anyone can think of good examples, let me know, or just nominate them yourself.
You love me! You really love me!
[Turns out it’s “Right now you like me. You really like me”]
